Good to know
Shabbat
Most trains and buses stop from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening (with local exceptions, e.g. some buses in Haifa). Shared taxis (sherut) often run.
Rav-Kav card
The transit card valid on buses, trains and light rail. Discounts (students, seniors…) require a personal Rav-Kav. App payment is also possible.
Ben Gurion Airport
A station in the airport: direct trains to Tel Aviv and to Jerusalem (Yitzhak Navon), about half an hour to Jerusalem.
Tel Aviv light rail
The Red Line links Petah Tikva to Bat Yam via Bnei Brak, Ramat Gan, Tel Aviv and Jaffa since August 2023. Other lines (Green, Purple) are under construction.
